Camille Thomas McGee

Camille Thomas-McGee is a seasoned professional in real estate development with more than a decade of experience in the industry. Prior to starting Thomas McGee Development Inc she worked as the Vice President of Operations & Development for a General Contractor in San Francisco, CA, where she led construction management, oversaw project planning and execution, and ensured timely completion and quality control. Camille has a strong background in construction and business. She holds a Master’s in Real Estate Development from W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing from Cal State University of San Bernardino. Her master’s program allowed her to manage a series of development projects across Arizona, ranging from residential development to income property and civic-zoned projects.

Before joining the Company as VP of Operations, Camille honed her skills at Lennar Homes and Daniel Bernstein & Associates. As a Development Project Manager, she successfully navigated local, state, and federal entitlement and permit requirements. She also proved her talent for budgeting, scheduling, and managing various aspects of project development, including working with architects, engineers, and various other consultants. Throughout her career, Camille has demonstrated an exceptional ability to handle multiple aspects of real estate development projects, from land acquisition to sales of the final product. Her skill set also extends to branding and marketing for a variety of property types. Camille has a reputation for maintaining strong working relationships with elected and appointed officials, staff members, and department heads within various government agencies. Beyond her technical competencies, Camille is known for fostering positive work culture, promoting teamwork, and ensuring accountability.

Camille Thomas-McGee is not only a seasoned professional in the field of real estate development, but also a devoted wife and mother. Balancing a demanding career with family life, she welcomed her first child, a son, into the world in 2022. Despite her career’s demanding nature, Camille’s commitment to her family remains steadfast. She manages to adeptly balance her role as Vice President of Operations & Development at Baines Group Inc. while being a nurturing mother and supportive spouse.  Throughout her career, Camille has demonstrated an exceptional ability to handle multiple aspects of real estate development projects, from land acquisition to sales of the final product. As she continues her career and pursues her General Contractor- “B” License, Camille’s contribution to the field of real estate development remains significant and ever-evolving. Beyond her professional accomplishments, her family continues to be her source of joy and inspiration.

Bruce Thomas

Mr. Thomas is currently a Managing Partner At Thomas McGee Development. He is also the Managing Partner of BioMed Development Group, and firm focused on the development of life science and medical office buildings. He was the Managing Partner of Thomas Advisory Group LLC.  TAG is a full-service real estate development, brokerage and advisory firm specializing in commercial, office, industrial, hotel and resort development projects.  Mr. Thomas was also The Lead Acquisition and Development Consultant in California for Urban America (UA), a real estate investment equity fund that has purchased over 1 billion dollars in assets. UA’s main focus is acquiring and developing real estate in urban and underserved markets.  As a seasoned industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in acquisition, development and management activities related to a variety of development projects, he has helped the Urban America Fund raise $400 million dollars from institutional pension funds like Calpers. Mr. Thomas’ experience on the fund-raising side with investors (pension funds, insurance companies and banks) for Fund II, will bode well for the any BioMed campus.  His ability to bring institutional capital is a value added to the BioMed Development team, along with his over 30 years of development and construction management.

Mr. Thomas Supervised and coordinated with all Engineers, including architects, civil engineers, landscape architects, soils, and environment all engineers, and other consultants in preparation of required development applications and approvals of Marriott Hotel in San Diego, and the Western region from site selection to certificate of occupancy.  Assisted in third party acquisition and disposition of hotels and resorts.  Mr. Thomas started his career in hospitality with Glen Ivy Resorts developing resorts in 1989 in Lake Havasu, Lake Arrowhead and Mammoth Lakes California.

As a VP of Development for Hotel Financial Strategies,  a Boutique Hotel Investment Banking Firm that provides financing both debt and equity for the hotel industry internationally, including Hilton Marriott and Starwood he developed the development services division. He was responsible for all development activities from concept through completion.  He assisted the Company in third party acquisition and disposition of hotels and resorts. Brokered 200 Key Hilton Homewood Suits/Hampton Inn development in San Diego. Experience with Hilton, Marriott, Starwood, Choice Hotels Cambria, various pension funds, and REITS, CALPERS, CalSTERS, Apple REIT’s, RLJ Lodging Trust, Blackstone, and Carlyle 

Maurice McGee

Maurice McGee is a seasoned Project Superintendent with over six years of specialized experience in the tenant improvement industry, based in Los Angeles. Known as one of the most hardworking individuals in his field, Maurice’s unwavering commitment has made him a standout professional.

In 2017, Maurice began another fulfilling chapter of his life when he got married. Then, in 2022, he embraced the joy of fatherhood. These milestones have only bolstered his determination and resilience, traits that he applies in his personal life as much as his professional one.

Throughout his career, Maurice has successfully completed numerous workspace office projects across Los Angeles. His expertise in project management and adherence to building regulations, along with his keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards, have all been instrumental in his success.

Balancing a demanding career with family life, Maurice has shown a commendable ability to excel in all his roles. As he continues to forge his path, his impact in the tenant improvement space is evident in the quality of workspaces he creates, and his dedication to his family showcases the strength of his character.
